Care after microneedling and mesotherapy. How to close thousands of microchannels without complications

Microneedling and needle mesotherapy work through the same lever: controlled micro-damage triggers a repair cascade and collagen synthesis. For the first hours after the treatment, however, the skin is an open gate — thousands of microchannels increase absorption but also let through everything on the surface: irritants and microorganisms.
Rule no. 1: for 24 hours only what is essential
Until the microchannels close, only what has been specifically intended for it should reach the skin. This is not the moment for the patient's “favourite cream”.
- touch-free application — a mist instead of fingers and cotton pads
- minimalist formulas, without fragrances and alcohol
- no makeup for at least 24 hours
- a fresh pillowcase, avoiding touching the face
Days 1–5: from erythema to regeneration
Erythema and a feeling of tightness usually subside within 24–72 hours. During this time the skin works intensively — and the free radicals arising in the inflammatory response can disrupt that work. High-capacity antioxidant support, such as biological fullerenes, helps restore the skin's biological balance and shorten the period of discomfort.
From day 2–3 you can gradually introduce a regenerating serum and a hydrolipid-barrier-rebuilding cream. SPF 50+ photoprotection applies from day one.
Why this matters for the clinic
Microneedling and mesotherapy are treatments performed in series. A patient who remembers the first session as comfortable — without prolonged erythema and irritation — comes back for the next ones. A standardised post-treatment protocol is the cheapest way to increase retention.
The AURONN® protocol for mesotherapy and microneedling is available to partner clinics. Start of cooperation: the “Test for 1 PLN” survey and a product to test for a symbolic złoty.
