Post-treatment care. What to use and what not to touch under any circumstances

Post-treatment care. What to use and what not to touch under any circumstances

Most aesthetic procedures — mesotherapy, microneedling, microneedle radiofrequency, chemical peels, laser treatments — work through controlled micro-injury. The skin receives an impulse to rebuild, but for several to a dozen or so days it is weakened: oxidative stress rises, the epidermal barrier is temporarily disrupted, and transepidermal water loss (TEWL) increases.

It is in this window — not in the clinic — that the final result of the therapy is decided.

What to avoid after a treatment

In the first days after the procedure the skin does not need stimulation, only support:

  • strong acids and retinoids — postpone until the epidermis has fully rebuilt
  • alcohol in cosmetics, aggressive cleansers
  • mechanical scrubs and facial brushes
  • sauna, tanning beds and intense sun exposure
  • products with an unknown, long ingredient list — the simpler, the safer

What actually helps the skin

Post-treatment care should do three things: soothe, protect against free radicals and support barrier rebuilding. AURONN® Golden Mist was designed for exactly this — an ultra-fine mist with biological fullerenes that can be used immediately after the procedure, during the regeneration period and in care that extends the results.

Ask about the full post-treatment protocol at an AURONN® partner clinic — a specialist will match the procedure to the type of treatment and the condition of your skin.
