Cookie policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files saved on your device while you use the website. They allow, among other things, the site to work correctly and remember basic settings.
2. Who saves cookies
Cookies on the AURONN® website are saved by IMU Medical S.A. (ul. Kościuszki 10/1, 05-500 Piaseczno), the provider of the website's hosting infrastructure (to a minimal, technical extent), and — only after you give your consent — Google Ireland Limited as part of the Google Analytics service.
3. Which cookies we use
We use three categories of files. (1) Necessary — required for the website to work, for security, for logging in to the clinic panel, and for remembering your chosen language and your cookie decision; these always run and do not require consent. (2) Analytics — Google Analytics 4, activated only after you give consent; used for aggregate visit statistics. (3) Marketing — used to measure the effectiveness of advertising (Google Ads and the Meta/Facebook pixel) and also require consent; see the “Meta Pixel and Conversions API” section below for details. Until consent is given, we do not activate analytics or marketing cookies. We do not carry out profiling that produces legal effects.
4. Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3SKG4WGZ8J), provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The tool helps us understand how you use the website — which subpages you visit, where you came from, what device and browser you use, and your approximate location based on your IP address. We analyse the data only as aggregate statistics and do not combine it with your data from forms. Google then stores the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies with a lifetime of up to 2 years. The IP address is truncated (anonymised). Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area, including to the USA, based on standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Consent and withdrawing it
On your first visit we show a banner where you can accept all cookies, choose only the necessary ones, or enable individual categories yourself in “Settings”. We use the Google Consent Mode v2 mechanism — until you give consent, Google does not save analytics or marketing cookies. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the website footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
6. Clinic map
On subpages with the clinic map we use map tiles provided by external suppliers (OpenStreetMap/CARTO). Loading the map involves sending technical connection data (e.g. IP address) to the provider — solely for the purpose of displaying the map.
7. Retention period
Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Your cookie decision is stored in browser memory (localStorage) until you change it or clear your browser data. The cookie remembering your chosen language (NEXT_LOCALE) is stored for up to 12 months. Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>) expire automatically after a maximum of 2 years. The clinic panel session cookie expires at the end of the session or upon logout.
8. How to disable cookies
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings (the “Privacy” or “Cookies” section in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). The easiest way to disable analytics and marketing cookies is through “Cookie settings” in the website footer. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking necessary cookies may affect the correct operation of the website.
9. Meta Pixel and Conversions API (Facebook/Instagram)
Only after you give marketing consent do we use the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API (CAPI), provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). The Pixel is a browser script that measures events such as page views, form submissions (Lead) and purchases; the Conversions API sends the same events directly from our server so that measurement is more accurate and resilient to blocking. To match events we may send Meta limited data (e.g. e-mail address and phone number) in hashed form — an irreversible SHA-256 digest — as well as identifiers from Meta cookies (_fbp, _fbc) and your IP address. The data is used to measure ad performance and may be transferred outside the EEA, including to the USA, based on standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework. These tools run only after consent, which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
